28-03-2022 Medal King Willem-Alexander presented the medal of honor (Huisorde van Oranje) for Art and Science of the House Order of Orange to astronaut Andre Kuipers at Noordeinde Palace in The Hague.
The award was awarded to Mr Kuipers by Royal Decree of 14 March 2022 in recognition of his special personal merits, among other things because of his highly distinguished contribution to national and international space travel, making his field accessible to a wide public and for his role as King of Arms at the inauguration of His Majesty the King in 2013.
